Performances by

BF Raya

Bonnie Freechild is the epitome of ‘antarabangsa’ (international). Raised in Borneo, but of English & Australian heritage, she found Dato’ Sheila Majid’s music at a young age. She accidentally went viral on YouTube singing her favourite RnB/Pop Malaysian song ‘Belaian Jiwa’. Since then she has had the honour of being invited to perform all around the world; U.K., Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Spain, Australia, USA and often appearing as a guest at U.K. Malaysian events.

Her candid real-ness and genuine connection to South East Asia make her easy to relate to. Losing her mother to Leukaemia at the tender age of 14, whilst in Borneo, her connection to the area runs deep. She’s spent the pandemic writing and recording (in both Malay and English) developing a sound true to her worldly origins; fusing natural rhythms and traditional instruments with an edgy pop RnB vibe. Earlier this year Bonnie shared some of her Lagu Raya favourites with her loyal fans across all streaming platforms, and while she continues to work hard on her forthcoming bi-ligual project, she will share her latest English original release ‘Out Out‘ with the world Friday August 27th.

Santha has been performing singing for over 30 years, and sings songs in a wide variety of genres such as pop, R&B, Broadway, Disney, classical/opera, Golden Oldies, jazz, etc. Santha has been feature performer and/or Master of Ceremonies at many large galas and concerts in the past 10 years. You can see many of her stage performance videos posted on YouTube under “Samantha Lai”

Santha’s stage name is Samantha Lai and has two singles written/arranged/posted by Robin Jayasekera on YouTube under “Samantha Lai: My Love Isn’t Blind” and “Samantha Lai: Michael – An Ode to the King” (a tribute to Michael Jackson). These singles are available for purchase on Amazon, Sony Music, iTunes, etc.
